How to play Ludo with four players

Four-player Ludo is the familiar full-board game. Each player controls one colour and races their four tokens around the board.

Set up the full board

Give each player a different colour: red, blue, green or yellow. Every player begins with four tokens in their yard. Roll to decide the starting player, then continue clockwise.

Keep turns quick

Before rolling, look at your active tokens. Once you roll, choose a legal move promptly. If no token can move, pass the turn without delay.

Watch more than one opponent

With three opponents, a token can be safe from one player and exposed to another. Before moving, check the next few squares and the tokens behind you.

Finish fairly

The first player with all four tokens in the centre wins. You can either stop there or carry on to decide second, third and fourth place.
