LEARN LUDO
Simple Ludo strategy
Ludo includes luck, but your choices still matter. A good player gives themselves more options on the next roll instead of always pushing one token as far as possible.
Bring more than one token into play
When the board is safe enough, getting a second token out gives you more legal moves. It also stops a poor roll from wasting your turn.
Use safe squares as checkpoints
A safe square lets you pause without being captured. Use it when an opponent is close behind, or when you want to wait for a better roll before entering a crowded part of the track.
Race when the path is clear
Move a token quickly when it can reach home without passing danger. Near the end, an advanced token can be more valuable than a risky capture.
Capture with a reason
A capture is strongest when it sends an opponent far back or removes a token that could capture you next. Do not ignore a safer move simply because a capture looks exciting.
Quick rule of thumb: choose the move that leaves you with the most useful choices after your next roll.
